In 1986 at the age of 21, Michael opened his first salon. His focus then and now is pursuing the BEST of everything to bring back and share with his clients. The salon was a pioneer for over 20 years as an Aveda Concept Salon. After 24 years in the original location, Michael transformed the space above Pelicans Reef into an avant garde destination that was awarded ELLE Magazines "The TOP 100 Salons in the U.S." for Both 2011 & 2012. Needless to say, this was not accomplished alone. Michael is dedicated to the education and mentoring of many stylists throughout the years and takes great pride in seeing peoples growth and success. Coming full circle to where it all began, Michael is excited to introduce Salon M at Salon Concepts. Here he can focus on you and you alone. Michael will continue to explore the newest hand-picked premier products to make you look & feel your best. His attention to detail, produces beautiful color variations and cuts that are effortless. His love of the best, be it a great burger dive or a fine boutique hotel, is all about sharing and having a relationship with each of you individually. You might say, He is your own "Hair Concierge"! When not doing hair, he enjoys, down time at home, reading, traveling and being a "foodie" with his partner, Emerson, and caring for their precocious welsh corgi/jack russell mix dog, Sadie.
